Jay has been helping people develop sound, conservative investment strategies for more than 20 years. He works with people from all backgrounds, income levels, and in every phase of their financial lives.
Jay attended John Carroll High School in Harford County, Maryland, and earned a B.S. in Business Administration from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Kenan-Flagler Business School. He holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses (including annuities).
In addition, Jay earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional certification in the spring of 2007. The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional certification identifies those individuals who have passed the CFP® Certification Examination covering the following areas: the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits, and estate planning. He draws on this knowledge to help his clients navigate the wealth planning process, listening to their goals and developing a highly customized plan suited to their financial future and lifestyle.
A lifelong Maryland resident, Jay lives in Phoenix, Maryland, with his wife, Jamie, a former elementary school teacher. When not spending time with his children, Alex, Isabella, and Zachary, he enjoys cooking, golfing, and mountain biking. Jay is active in the community and volunteers for the Carroll Manor Recreation Council assisting with his kids’ sports. He has also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, the Special Olympics, and the Blue Water Project.
